Bay Area’s Talented Workforce

Growing Businesses and Unmatched Quality of Life Attract Top Talent to Concord, CA

While Concord’s benefits for business relocation are tough to top (lease rates about 50% lower than the surrounding metro and business-friendly policies, to name a few), we would be remiss to not brag on our workforce and boast the lifestyle Concord workers enjoy while living here.

Our region is ranked second in the US for fastest rising income, largely due to the highly educated and dedicated workforce that calls Concord home. While much of our talent has migrated to Concord—thanks to 260+ days of sunshine annually, access to wine country or the beach, comfortable weather year-round, and a strong school system—our location sets us up to recruit locally from over 50+ higher learning facilities including UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Stanford, as well as the rest of the Bay Area. Concord is strong because of the community that backs it— a community that represents wide networking potential, industries from advanced manufacturing to biotech, diverse leadership, and encouraged opportunity for continuous growth. Whether you’re looking to start your own business or move a current one, Concord has the workforce to take you to the next level.

Veteran Services

Serving those who first served us

The Contra Costa County Veteran Services and Concord VA Center are trained to provide resources and benefits to local veterans and their families. Local schools offer programs specifically geared towards veterans entering or re-entering the workforce, including Contra Costa Community College and Diablo Valley College. With support from Sentinels of Freedom—a nonprofit that helps severely wounded post-9/11 veterans complete their higher education—Diablo Valley College was able to open the Student Veterans Resource Center in 2016. The SVRC offers dedicated study spaces, counseling services, events, and other resources.
