Through interactive trainings, open discussions, and hands-on experience CITs will have the opportunity to learn about being a camp counselor. These experiences will include a week of interactive workshops dealing with risk management, leading games, conflict management, child behavior, professionalism, etc. After completing these workshops, our CITs will depart on a two or three-night camping adventure. When they return, CITs will be placed with their own cabin group for a full week under the supervision of a Counselor and the Youth Camp Coordinator. CITs serve as role model, help mentor campers, and lead basic camp activities.
